The United States Golf Association (USGA), in conjunction with the R&A in St. Andrews, Scotland, writes interprets and maintains the Rules of Golf to guard both the tradition and integrity of the game. Both organizations serve as both authors and owners of The Rules of Golf and Decisions on the Rules of Golf. The following information on the Rules took effect January 1, 2010.
All RAMAGA tournaments are run based on the rules currently in effect. All tournament participants are expected the know the appropriate rules and to follow them in competition.
