RAMAGA schedules a wide range of tournament opportunities for its members. All tournaments except the Club Championship are one-day events and are scheduled on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. The Club Championship tournament is a two-day event. Players can sign up for as many or as few tournaments as fits their schedule. Each tournament has a minimum of 24 playing slots available, and more can be added as needed. Tournament Entry Fees The Member entry fee for each tournament is $10 except for the two-day Club Championship Tournament, which has an entry fee of $20. Entry deadline dates are listed for each tournament. You can sign up at any prior tournament, by email or by calling Gary Tiffany at 815-332-4015. Entry fees must be paid by the deadline date stated below to secure your spot in the tournament. Tournament Prizes Tournament entry fees will be used to cover the prizes awarded at each tournament. In mixed-flight tournaments, prizes will be awarded for 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place on a net score and a gross score basis in each flight. For team events, prizes will be awarded for 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place on a team score basis. All prizes will be in the form of Golf Shack gift certificates. In addition, Closest to the Pin contests are included in each tournament on the Par-3 holes. The winner on each hole receives a $5 Golf Shack certificate. Prize Calculations We will deduct $20 per tournament from the prize pot to cover gift certificate prizes for the Closest to the Pin Contests, then the pot will be divided as follows: 40% for 1st Place, 30% for 2nd Place, and 20% for 3rd Place. The minimum prize pot is $20 for 1st Place, $15 for 2nd Place, and $10 for 3rd Place. For prize amounts above the minimum, amounts will be rounded up to the next $5. The final 10% in the pot will be used to cover the rounding. Greens fees at each course and any side games for each tournament (Skins Game, Blind Bogey, etc.) are the responsibility of the member and are not included in the tournament entry fee. Guest/Non-Member Policy Guests and non-members are welcome to participate in any RAMAGA tournament except the two-day Club Championship as long as space is available. The tournament entry fee for guests and non-members is $15, and they are limited to playing in a maximum of two (2) RAMAGA tournaments per year. If the guest or non-member chooses to join RAMAGA, we will credit $5 of their paid tournament entry fee for each tournament they played in as a guest or non-member toward their membership fee.

Saturday, April 30 Four-Man Team Scramble Tournament Elliot Golf Course ResultsHole-by-hole We’re starting the year with a team event so everyone has a chance to "blow the rust off". Each player in the foursome will tee off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. The score is recorded as a team score. Entry deadline is Monday, April 25. We have room for 24 golfers, starting at 8:00 AM. Entry fee is $10. Sunday, September 11 6 x 6 x 6 Tournament Ingersoll Golf Course This is a stroke play event for 2-person teams. Six consecutive holes are played as a scramble, with each player hitting a drive, choosing the better drive, both hitting from that spot (lies may be improved here), and continuing choosing the better ball throughout the hole. A second six consecutive holes are played under a "best ball" format with each player playing his own ball throughout the hole and recording the lowest score of the two team players on the hole. The third six holes are played as an alternate shot, with each player teeing off, then going to his teammate's ball to hit it as the second shot. He then returns to his own ball for the third shot. Play continues with alternating shots on each ball until the ball is in the hole. Teams can decide on their own which six consecutive holes are played under what format, but must declare the formats and their order before the beginning of the round, so one team could be playing best ball while the other team could be scrambling. Scores are recorded as a team score. The scores are fully handicapped. Entry deadline is Thursday, September 1. We have room for 24 golfers, starting at 8:00 AM. Entry fee is $10.

Individual Match Play Tournament First round matches begin May 1 Various courses This is a bracketed, fully-handicapped double-elimination individual match play tournament, much like the Ryder Cup, and is played over the course of the season. Scoring is kept by comparing the holes won by each player. Final score reflects the margin of victory and the hole at which the match ended. This event is double-elimination; the winner of each match moves on to the next round while the loser moves to the second bracket. Entry deadline is Monday, April 25. Entry fee is $10.
